Although, the Journal concentrates on public transport and specifically bus transportation. Over the years , it has provided a forum for discussion on transport policies, public and private sector participation, financing, affordability and quality of transport services. The Journal aims at providing a link between the academician and the manager, and the policy maker and the customer. In this process, it has endeavoured to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of transportation.
In addition, the Institute publishes a large number of reports, notable among them being the annual publication - STUs : Profile and Performance. Proceedings of seminars and workshops conducted by the institute on various topics related to transport policy and management are regularly published and are offered for sale.
