It is an extremely prestigious moment for CIRT to receive first Patent on “A System For Evaluating Driver Skill” on 31st August 2017.
Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Honourable Minister of Road Transport & Highways, Government of India unveiled CIRT’s first Patent during its Golden Anniversary 6th Sept 2017.
The invention relates to a system for evaluating driver skill objectively at the time of issuing license. The invention relates to a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based driving skill evaluation system for evaluating driver skill objectively and without human intervention.
The Patent was filed in July, 2006.
The Invention Team comprised of the following members:
- Shri Gyanendra Kumar Sharma (Former Director, CIRT year 2006)
- Shri Ramasaamy (Former Faculty Member, CIRT)
- Shri Umesh Suryawanshi (Senior Manager)
- Shri Deepak Dalai (Engg. Student, year 2004-2005)
The Patent has been granted on 31st August, 2017.
This is a first Patent granted to CIRT which shows CIRT capabilities in innovation with a vision to benefit society.
