Management Development Centre

CIRT’s Management Development Centre (MDC) has its presence since its inception way back in the year 1967. Till date, CIRT has conducted 1800+ training programmes mix of three day, one week, two weeks and 30 - 45 day foundation programme and training over 54,000 senior officials from consortium of Automotive Component Manufacturers, Vehicle Manufacturers, Bus Body Builders, Freight Operators, Private Operators, Motor Vehicle Departments, Police Department, State Transport Undertakings, Municipal Corporations and Development Authorities


MDC has also conducted several International Training Programmes for Members of SAARC countries, Police Department, Government of Nepal, Transport Department, Royal Government of Bhutan, Transport Department, Government of Ghana on topics like Energy Conservation in Road Transportation, Urban Transport, Road Safety & Traffic Management, Capacity Building Programme and Vertical Interaction Programme.

  • Foundation Training Programme for newly recruited officers – developed on proven expertise in meeting organisational expectations and adapting to individual learning needs. The training duration ranges from 30 to 45days.
  • Advance Training Programme – These are thematic training programmes of mostly one week duration, meant for building capacities of professionals across all levels and roles in the Indian transport sector. It is planned for promoting & raising awareness, disseminating the knowledge on latest development & policy, so as to enhance the impact of Government’s Plan.
