Ashish Misra is a Public Transport Expert and holds a MBA degree with specialization in Marketing. His main areas of professional interest include marketing of transport services, business strategy development, transportation management and managerial effectiveness. He has nearly 29 years of versatile experience in the field of transport.

Prior to joining CIRT, he was associated with Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) and rendered technical & administrative service for 10 years in various capacities. At the time of joining CIRT, he was Regional Manager in UPSRTC.

In CIRT, he is involved in research, consultancy & training activities. He has contributed 10 research papers / working papers in reputed journals in areas of transportation management and road safety. He has also carried out several consultancy assignments for State Transport Undertakings, Motor vehicle Department and Municipal Corporations.

He has conducted several National Seminars, Workshops and Training Programmes on themes such as Transportation Management, Urban Transport, Road Safety Management and Best Practices in Management of STUs. He has presented and chaired various technical sessions, seminars and conferences. He is also a life member of Institute of Urban Transport (India).
